This painting was produced as a gift for a man graduating with a Masters degree. He was particularly interested in the life of Napoleon, but was equally fond of his cat, Hobbes, who was in charge of his household. This is the result, painted from the client’s photographs of the cat, and details from the painting by Delaroche of Napoleon at Fontainebleau.
